Who We Are

Natural Glow Self Love Club is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering girls, teens, and young women to develop resilience, emotional wellness, and self-love. We serve girls in grades 5–12 and young adult women through research-grounded programming that builds the skills needed for healthy decision-making, emotional regulation, and positive self-expression.

Natural Glow was created in response to the rising mental health challenges and emotional stressors facing young girls in Delaware’s urban communities. Our founders saw a significant gap in programs that affirm Black and Brown girls while teaching the emotional skills needed to navigate life with confidence and self-worth. Many young people face social pressures, economic disadvantages, family instability, and limited access to safe, supportive environments. Without early intervention, these factors can lead to low self-esteem, unhealthy coping, disengagement from school, and harmful relationship patterns.

Natural Glow exists to interrupt these cycles early.

Our Programming

​

We focus our programming on a social-emotional learning curriculum that helps girls in grades 5–12 build the protective factors that support lasting mental health. Participants move through three connected modules:

• The Self-Love Foundation: Learning self-compassion, self-acceptance, self-esteem, self-confidence, and self-respect, including how to identify their true worth apart from achievements or others’ opinions.

• The Emotional Regulation Foundation: Learning to recognize their emotional triggers and early warning signs, use healthy coping strategies, and communicate their feelings to trusted people.

• The Resilience Foundation: Building self-awareness, personal agency, and critical consciousness, so they can challenge unfair narratives, use their strengths, and make a real difference in their communities.

We deliver this curriculum through small-group mentorship, creative expression, wellness education, after-school clubs, workshops, and conferences. Our safe and nurturing spaces let participants explore who they are, regulate their emotions, build resilience, and make empowered choices in their relationships and daily lives.

Beyond Programming

Natural Glow is deeply committed to community care and collective well-being. We give back through initiatives that support families with essential resources such as hygiene products, clothing, and food. Through partnerships with community centers, sponsors, and local businesses, including Target and Wegmans, we work to ensure families feel supported both emotionally and practically.

Our Vision

​

We envision a world where girls and women fall in love with who they are. Participants of Natural Glow Self Love Club grow into emotionally grounded, resilient individuals who know their value, honor their non-negotiables, and build healthy relationships. Through affirming education and supportive environments, we aim to reduce cycles of harm and cultivate emotionally healthy generations.

As we look ahead, we are expanding into schools, community centers, churches, and digital platforms across multiple states. Through our widely used curriculum, workshops for women and mothers with daughters, and immersive retreats, we will keep creating spaces where confidence is built, self-love is practiced, and every girl is reminded that she matters.
